Excited to feature a throw-back on our first ever Venue Open House that we co-hosted last year with Party Reflections.  We were thrilled to have the opportunity to work with such a fabulous co-host for our event.  We chatted with Aimee Wicker and want to share some insight into the special event rentals company.

pr2Party Reflections, Inc. was founded in 1958 by Wayne Hooks.  Chair Rental Service began with a small inventory of table and chair rentals in a garage only a few miles from its current corporate headquarters.  After over 60 years of successful business growth and expansion, Party Reflections is proud to serve North and South Carolina.

Aimee Wicker joined the PR team in 2018, bringing with her nearly 10 years opr3f experience working with Columbia’s top caterers, wedding, and corporate planners.  Well known throughout Columbia for exceeding her client’s expectations, Aimee is focusing on Party Reflection’s Business Development in South Carolina.  Aimee has a creative, outgoing, and unforgettable personality that she uses to bring the best out in everyone involved in the events she manages.  Her passion to make her client’s event exactly as or better than anticipated is based on her love of making it right.

Aimee, a University of South Carolina graduate, currently resides in a city she absolutely adores.  She lives in Columbia with her husband, son, and pets.  While the dogs, Gus (previously most important) and Dot as well as Esther the cat provide endless entertainment, her son has quickly exceeded them therefore moving the animals to a much lower status in the family.

pr4Kent Henderson was raised in Columbia, SC and graduated from Richland Northeast High School in 1996.  He moved to Lexington, SC in 2004 when he married his wife Rachell and they still reside there.  Kent has worked in warehousing, production, and operations management for the last 20 years.  Once he joined Party Reflections in 2014, he quickly realized that this was the perfect fit.  Kent has held the job of Warehouse Supervisor, Inventory Manager and Operations Manager since starting with PR.  Taking a new role as Columbia’s General Manager, Kent looks forward to working with the Party Reflections staff, as well as new and existing clients. Kent’s coaching skills have made him successful in leadership, knowledge, motivation, and consistency.  He plans on implementing those same skills to help PR deliver the best quality product and to create lasting memories.  Kent feels motivation is key in this industry and feels that he can make a positive impact as the new GM.  In his spare time, Kent enjoys coaching youth baseball and spending time with his wife and three kids.

Q. What was your best memory of last year’s Open House?

A. Often we are asked to help with open houses after all of the details are planned.  This was a new take on an open house.  The Lace house strategically picked true partners to bring this new idea to life.  It was wonderful to be involved from the very beginning (over a year).  So often we are executing someone else’s vision.  The collaboration on this event enabled us to watch our vision come to life.

Q. What is one item that is new to your company or not utilized as often that you think is a great addition to an event?

A. The 3’ hedge wall is new to our inventory this year and new in the marketplace.  We have had the traditional 8’ walls that are perfect in events for backdrops or room dividers but the 3’ wall can divide up a space without losing eyesight across the event.  It is in the same green faux boxwood material as the full wall, but has tons of applications.

Q. What makes your business stand out and why should a client hire you?

A. Party Reflections is known for its expansive inventory and has over 60 years of experience producing events.  While that alone is monumental, we feel the relationship between client and vendor is vital.  We view it as a partnership, and we value the responsibility to create the event they have envisioned.  Events are a personal reflection of the host and our team will work alongside you during the entire process to ensure your guests have an experience they will not forget.

Q. At what stage in the planning process should I client come to you for your services?  Is the timing the same for weddings as corporate events?

A. Events all start with an occasion and then a theme or design.  The sooner you can introduce the rental option, the better.  As venues are being picked and design boards built, the broad inventory options we offer can play a role in making the perfect event.  Also, rentals are booked based on availability.  While we have a large inventory, there are times during the peak wedding season we are out of desirable items.  It is always best to book as soon as you decide on your items.

Q. What sets you apart from other vendors in your industry?

A. Party Reflections aims to provide upscale event rental products and services that will create innovative solutions to our partners and clients.  This innovation is found in the experience we have gained while serving the Carolinas since 1958.  The PR Team is driven to create a #PRexperience. That experience involves quality service, unique inventory and the creation of lasting memories.
